Therapeutic indications
Treatment of flea infestations alone or in association with ticks. Against fleas: for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (ctenocephalides spp.). The treatment prevents further infestation for 7 weeks. Prevention of flea multiplication by preventing eggs from developing into adult fleas for 12 weeks after application. Against ticks: for the treatment of tick infestations (ixodes ricinus). One treatment has a persistent acaricidal efficacy for 2 weeks against ixodes ricinus and 4 weeks against dermacentor reticulatus, rhipicephalus sanguineus. If ticks of some species (dermacentor reticulatus, rhipicephalus sanguineus) are present when the product is administered, not all ticks may be killed within 48 hours.
Dosage and administration
Dosage: dog weight: 2-10 kg; unit dose pipette volume: 0.67 ml; fipronil: 67 mg; pyriproxyfen: 20.1 mg dog weight: 10-20 kg; unit dose pipette volume: 1.34 ml; fipronil: 134 mg; pyriproxyfen: 40.2 mg dog weight: 20-40 kg; unit dose pipette volume: 2.68 ml; fipronil: 268 mg; pyriproxyfen: 80.4 mg dog weight: 40-60 kg; unit dose pipette volume: 4.02 ml; fipronil: 402 mg; pyriproxyfen: 120.16 mg for dogs weighing more than 60 kg the appropriate combination of pipettes should be used. A pipette constitutes a treatment with the possibility of repeating the administration on a monthly basis. For optimal control of flea and/or tick infestations, the treatment program can be based on the local epidemiological situation.
Contraindications
Do not use in rabbits, as adverse reactions and even death may occur. Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Excipients
Each 0.67 ml pipette (unit dose) contains: bha 0.134 mg and bht 0.067 mg each 1.34 ml pipette (unit dose) contains: bha 0.268 mg and bht 0.134 mg each pipette of 2.68 ml (unit dose) contains: bha 0.536 mg and bht 0.268 mg each 4.02 ml pipette (unit dose) contains: bha 0.804 mg and bht 0.402 mg.
