Therapeutic indications
Treatment of flea infestations alone or in association with ticks.
Against fleas: For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis). - One treatment prevents further infestation for 5 weeks.
Prevents flea multiplication by preventing eggs from developing into adult fleas for 12 weeks after application.
The product can be used as part of the strategic treatment for the control of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) when this has been previously diagnosed by the veterinary surgeon.
Against ticks: For the treatment of tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus and Rhipicephalus turanicus).
One treatment determines persistent acaricidal efficacy for one week.
If ticks are present at the time of application, not all ticks may be killed within 48 hours.
Dosage and administration
Spot-on use.
Dosage: the minimum recommended dose is 8.3 mg fipronil/kg body weight and 10 mg pyriproxyfen/kg
For a cat weighing at least 1 kg and up to 6 kg, apply 1 0.5 pipette per animal.
For cats weighing more than 6 kg the recommended dose is 1 ml which can be administered with a 1 ml pipette (or alternatively with two 0.5 ml pipettes).
Cat weight:
1-6kg; Volume: 0.5ml; Fipronil (mg): 50; Pyriproxyfen (mg): 60.
>6-12kg; Volume: 1.0ml; Fipronil (mg): 100; Pyriproxyfen (mg): 120.
For optimal control of flea and/or tick infestations the treatment program can be based on the local epidemiological situation.
In any case, in the absence of further safety studies, do not repeat the treatment at intervals of less than 4 weeks (see overdose paragraph).
Contraindications
Do not use in rabbits, as adverse reactions and even death may occur. Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or to any of the excipients.
