Therapeutic indications
Effipro duo is a pesticide with a double active ingredient, for the treatment of flea infestations alone or in association with ticks.
Against fleas: For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides spp.).
Treatment prevents further infestation for 7 weeks. Prevention of flea multiplication by preventing eggs from developing into adult fleas for 12 weeks after application.
The product can be used as part of the strategic treatment for the control of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) when this has been previously diagnosed by the veterinary surgeon.
Against ticks: For the treatment of tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus).
One treatment has a persistent acaricidal efficacy for 2 weeks against Ixodes ricinus and 4 weeks against Dermacentor reticulatus Rhipicephalus sanguineus.
If ticks of certain species (Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) are present when the product is administered, not all ticks may be killed within 48 hours.
