Therapeutic indications
Broad-spectrum anthelmintic for the treatment of mixed infestations caused by the following roundworms and tapeworms in dogs and puppies: roundworms: toxocara canis, toxascaris leonina (adults and larval forms) hookworms: uncinaria stenocephala, ancylostoma caninum (adults) tricurids: trichuris vulpis (adults) tapeworms: echinococcus spp. Taenia spp. and dipylidium caninum (adults and larval forms).
Dosage and administration
For oral use only. Dosage: For treatment in dogs, 1 tablet orally per 10 kg of weight (15 mg febantel, 5 mg pyrantel (embonate) and 5 mg praziquantel/kg body weight). Body weight (kg): 2.5 – 5; number of tablets: ½ tablet body weight (kg): >5 - 10; number of tablets: 1 tablet body weight (kg): >10 – 15; number of tablets: 1 ½ tablets body weight (kg): >15 – 20; number of tablets: 2 tablets body weight (kg): >20 – 25; number of tablets: 2 ½ tablets body weight (kg): >25 – 30; number of tablets: 3 tablets. Administration: the tablet should be administered to the dog directly into the mouth or crushed into food. Fasting before or after treatment is not necessary. Thanks to a lipid coating of praziquantel and added flavourings, the tablets are taken spontaneously by most dogs.
