Description

Therapeutic indications

Prazitel for adult dogs is a dewormer for the treatment of mixed infections caused by roundworms and tapeworms of the following species:

Nematodes

Ascarids: toxocara canis and toxascaris leonina (adult and immature forms).

Hookworms: uncinaria stenocephala and ancylostoma caninum (adults). Whipworms: trichuris vulpis (adults).

Cestodes: tapeworms: echinococcus species, (e. granulosus, e. multilocularis), taenia species (t. hydatigena, t. pisiformis, t. taeniformis) and dipylidium caninum (adult and immature forms).

Dosage and administration

Administer orally.

Equivalent to 1 tablet of prazitel tablets for large breed dogs per 35 kg of body weight.

For dogs weighing more than 35 kg, 1 prazitel tablets for large breed dogs should be administered, plus the correct dose of prazitel tablets for dogs equivalent to 1 tablet per 10 kg. Dogs weighing 17.5 kg should be given ½ tablet of prazitel tablets for large breed dogs.

The tablets can be administered directly to the dog or hidden in food. Neither before nor after treatment is a fasting period necessary.

Dosage Guide:

body weight (kg): approximately 17.5 kg; tablets: ½

31-35 kg; tablets: 1

36-40 kg; tablets: 1 + ½

41-45 kg; tablets: 1 + ½

46-50 kg; tablets: 1 + ½

51-55 kg; tablets: 1 + ½

56-60 kg; tablets: 2

61-70 kg; tablets: 2
