Description

EurekaVet Support relaxicalm 50 gr is a nutritional supplement based on phytoderivative extracts which, as reported in scientific literature, make it suitable for calming, in a natural way, particularly agitated and stressed animals, and for reducing the severity of the phenomenon of motion sickness.

Properties

Passiflora extract boasts sedative properties of the nervous system, tranquilizers, anxiolytics, antispasmodics, curative of insomnia and hysteria; promotes physiological sleep and daytime activity without dullness. Among the chemical elements of Passiflora we can find a notable quantity of compounds such as flavonoids, maltol, alkaloids (harmine, armolo, harmaline, armano, armalol), oxycoumarin, sterols, amino acids, fatty and organic acids. The behavior of Passiflora is similar to that of traditional sedatives (bromides and chloral hydrate) and it is thought that it is equipped with receptors common to benzodiozepines. It relaxes the smooth muscle tissue of the digestive system, thus proving to be a valid antispasmodic.
Anti-stress remedy and natural tranquilizer of choice, Tilia Tomentosa acts simultaneously on both the sleep center, the cortico-hypothalamic axis and the reticulate substance, causing the serotonin rate to rise. It develops a general anxiolytic, sedative, antispasmodic and tranquilizing action. It is also able to alleviate hypermotility disorders, gaseous colic, irritable bowel and spastic colitis.
Thanks to the action of the active substances (isovalerianate and valeropotriates), Valerian exerts a dual mechanism of action, sedative on the one hand and on the other slowing down the degradation of GABA, which has the function of combating stress. Overall, it acts as a calmer in some forms of agitation and is able to achieve a sedative effect without depressing concentration skills and creative faculties.
Anti-kinetic phytotherapeutic complex.
Icelandic lichen is an excellent remedy against nausea, useful as an adjunct in the treatment of continued vomiting and motion sickness. Being rich in mucilage it also has a soothing effect on irritated intestinal walls.
Numerous clinical studies have been carried out on Zingiber Officinalis to verify its effective properties in counteracting nausea and vomiting, giving satisfactory and interesting results, and it has always been used thanks to its antiemetic properties to prevent motion sickness or to reduce the severity of the symptoms. Among its chemical compounds are monoterpenes, sesquiterpenes and gingerols. An improvement in gastrointestinal motility both on an empty stomach and on a full stomach would contribute to the antiemetic action.

Motion sickness or "transport sickness" is a clinical syndrome that occurs in predisposed animals when they are on means of transport and undergo continuous changes in position due to motion. The symptoms are: nausea, vomiting, dizziness, sialorrhea (increased saliva production).
The best-known forms of motion sickness are seasickness, car sickness and air sickness.
Agitation, stress and anxiety are symptoms that are increasingly detectable in pets. There are various causes that can lead to these annoying manifestations. Fear, phobia of loud noises (thunderstorms, firecrackers, household appliances). Eliminatory disorders (inappropriate eliminations, marking). Stress from hospitalization or temporary foster care. Post-operative stress. Stress from changes in the family context (births, divorces, bereavements, moves). Stress from veterinary visits, shows, grooming or bathing. Stress from "adoption" of the puppy and/or adult. stress from cohabitation, stress from closed environments.
