Therapeutic indications

Droncit Spot-on is an anthelmintic for cats based on praziquantel, an active ingredient effective against mature and immature forms of dipylidium caninum and taenia spp.

The spectrum of action of praziquantel covers all important species of cat tapeworms, including: tapeworms, tapeworms multiceps, Joyeuxiella pasqualei, Dipylidium caninum, Mesocestoides spp., Echinococcus granulosus and Echinococcus multilocularis.

Praziquantel is effective against all stages of maturity of intestinal parasites in cats.

Dosage and administration

The solution is administered through the tube, which makes application easy and safe. To apply dewormer to your cat, proceed as follows:

- Hold the tube in a vertical position, unscrew and remove the cap. Place the cap upside down and use it to remove the seal from the tube.

- With two fingers, move the fur on the back of the cat's neck, immediately behind the head, so as to make the skin visible.

- Holding the tube in a vertical position, place the tip on the skin and, pressing several times, apply all the contents to the affected area. It is particularly important to apply the dose to an area that the animal cannot lick.

The minimum recommended dosage is 8 mg of praziquantel/kg of body weight, i.e. one tube for every 2.5 kg of body weight. Follow the recommended dosage directions below:

Cats weighing 1 to 2.5 kg: 1 pipette.

Cats weighing 2.5 to 5 kg: 2 pipettes.

Cats weighing more than 5 kg: 3 pipettes.

It is recommended to carry out a single dosage.
