Therapeutic indications

Droncit tablets is an anthelmintic for dogs and cats based on praziquantel, an active ingredient effective against mature and immature forms of various species of intestinal parasites.

The spectrum of action of praziquantel covers all important species of tapeworms of cats and dogs, including: tapeworms, tapeworms multiceps, Joyeuxiella pasqualei, Dipylidium caninum, Mesocestoides spp., Echinococcus granulosus and Echinococcus multilocularis.

Praziquantel is effective against all intestinal stages of parasites.

Dosage and administration

The treatment must be carried out on an empty stomach and the animals must be monitored immediately after administration, so that the treatment can be repeated in the event of rejection of the tablets.

Droncit can be administered directly or wrapped in meat, or crushed in food.

The minimum recommended dosage is 5 mg/kg body weight. Follow the recommended dosage directions below:

Animals up to 10 kg: 1 tablet

Animals from 11 to 20 kg: 2 tablets

Animals from 21 to 30 kg: 3 tablets

Animals up to 10 kg: 1 tablet

Any overdoses of up to double the recommended dose are not harmful, especially in cases of intervention against massive tapeworm infestations.
