Therapeutic indications

kProtect by Abiovet is a product specifically designed to support correct renal function in dogs and cats.
kPROTECT with its highly purified components (Sodium Bicarbonate, Calcium Carbonate and Chitosan) can be useful in the control of metabolic acidosis and hypocalcemia, frequently diagnosed in the advanced stages of CKD in dogs and cats. Calcium Carbonate has proven effectiveness in controlling hypocalcemia. Sodium Bicarbonate is effective in controlling metabolic acidosis. Chitosan can help improve hyperazotemia in animals suffering from CKD.

How to use

Recommended dosage: one tablet per 10 kg of live weight, 2 times a day with meals (every 12 hours).

The dosage may be subject to change according to the judgment of the veterinary doctor healing.

Composition

Calcium Carbonate (11.1.1; purity 91%), Chitosamine (13.2.8; purity 90%), Sodium Bicarbonate (11.4.2; purity 99%), Hydrolyzed Animal Proteins (9.6.1)., Magnesium Stearate (13.6.4).

Additives (for kg):

Technological additives: Cellulose (E460) 205313 mg, Colloidal Silica (E551b) 5000 mg.

Analytical components:

Raw ash 49% (in HCl 0.7%); Crude protein 11.1%; crude fibers 15.3%; Crude oils and fats 2.3%; Humidity 3.2%; Calcium 194000 mg/kg; Sodium 21900 mg/kg; Magnesium 6000 mg/kg
