Therapeutic Indications

• Flea infestations: Treatment for at least 5 weeks against Ctenocephalides felis and C. canis. The product is also indicated in the control of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD).
• Tick infestations: Treatment against Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus. One dose eliminates ticks for up to a month.
• Demodicosis and Sarcoptic Mange: Effective treatment against Demodex canis and Sarcoptes scabiei var. canis.

Composition

Active ingredient: Afoxolaner 11.3 mg (for dogs 2–4 kg).
Excipients: Corn starch, Soy protein, Braised beef flavouring, Povidone (E1201), Macrogol, Glycerol (E422), Medium chain triglycerides.
The formulation is designed to ensure high palatability and facilitate spontaneous acceptance by the dog.

Method of Administration and Treatment Program

The tablets are chewable and palatable. They can be administered directly or mixed with food.

• Fleas and Ticks: Monthly administration during periods of risk.
• Demodicosis: Monthly administration until two negative skin scrapings are obtained one month apart.
• Sarcoptic mange: Monthly administration for two consecutive months (or longer, according to veterinary opinion).

Contraindications and Precautions

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or excipients. In the absence of data, the treatment of puppies under 8 weeks of age or dogs weighing less than 2 kg should be evaluated by the veterinarian.

Safety Warnings

Since parasites must initiate a blood meal to be exposed to the active ingredient, the risk of transmission of infectious diseases cannot be completely ruled out. Wash hands after handling. For safety, remove only the tablet needed from the blister at the time of use and keep out of the reach of children.
