NexGard and Frontpro: documented differences
Having the same active substance, afoxolaner, does not automatically make two medicines equivalent. The comparison must follow their respective summaries of product characteristics.

Name, marketing authorisation holder, presentations, weight ranges, indications and dispensing conditions must be checked separately. Choosing solely on the basis of the active substance is not correct.
The name afoxolaner must be written accurately.
Indications and differences
A comparison table may contain only facts found in the current regulatory documents. Minimum age, target parasites and duration must not be generalised.
Prescription status is checked for the Italian presentation.
Responsible choice
The veterinarian assesses parasite risk and the dog’s condition; the pharmacist checks correct dispensing. The page does not rank effectiveness or value.
