Frontpro for dogs: afoxolaner, presentations and precautions

Frontpro is an afoxolaner chewable medicine for dogs. The pack must match the dog’s weight and the indications must be read in the current SPC.

Identity and dispensing status

The UPD source identifies Frontpro as a chewable-tablet medicine for dogs, available without prescription in the verified presentation. This does not make it suitable for every dog.

Name, strength, weight range and number of tablets must be checked on the individual pack.

No automatic equivalence

Sharing an active substance with another medicine does not prove substitutability or equivalence. Indications, excipients, presentations and authorisation documents must be compared.

For very young animals, those with a neurological history, illness or concurrent treatment, veterinary advice is appropriate. Onset and duration of action are those stated in the leaflet.
