Drontal and Droncit: formulations and differences

Drontal and Droncit include products that differ by species, form and composition. There is no universal method of use for the whole family.

Distinguish each presentation

Products for dogs, products for cats and Droncit formulations must have separate sections. Active substances and target parasites are stated only after the marketing authorisation and summary of product characteristics have been checked.

The composition of one pack must not be attributed to the others.

Diagnosis and choice

Parasite species, age, weight, risk and clinical conditions guide the choice. A wormer must not be presented as an indiscriminate solution for every infestation.

Faecal examination may be indicated to establish or check the management plan.

Responsible use

Follow the leaflet and professional advice. Do not transfer spot-on products or tablets from one species to another, and do not repeat treatment without advice.
