INFORMATION – Gastritis
Inflammatory process affecting the stomach, very common not only in humans, but also in pets. Gastritis can be acute, i.e. sudden and of limited duration (a few days), or chronic, and therefore extend over time, even beyond two weeks.

Causes
Among the main causes of gastritis there are certainly a bad or unsuitable diet (based on kitchen waste or low-quality foods), the use of drugs, the ingestion of foreign bodies or irritating substances, intoxications, viral (e.g. Parvovirus) or bacterial (e.g. Helicobacter pylori) infectious diseases, a bad lifestyle (e.g. compulsory sedentary lifestyle), stress of various kinds, as well as numerous other pathologies such as intestinal parasites, pancreatitis, thyroid problems, renal failure or neoplasms. In cats, gastritis caused by the presence of hairballs in the stomach is no less a problem, a very frequent problem, especially during the moulting period.

Symptoms
The main symptom of gastritis is certainly loss of appetite, often associated with apathy, abdominal pain, sialorrhea (excessive salivation) and vomiting, which in turn can cause weight loss and even severe dehydration. Very often, animals suffering from gastritis seek grass and also suffer from belching, intestinal borborygmi and, in the long term, may have a dull and matted coat, indicative of a state of malaise that has continued over time.

How to use

It is recommended to administer the product at mealtime, mixed with a small amount of food or directly into the mouth, for 4-30 days depending on needs and/or veterinary indications.
