TRI-TEC 14 is an insect repellent for horses, effective against flies, horseflies and ectoparasites. Its effectiveness lasts up to 14 days after application. Its composition combines the immediate action of natural pyrethrins with the more prolonged action of pyrethroids. For example, Cypermethrin alters the permeability of the nerve cell membrane causing insect paralysis, while Pirethrin has an immediate antiparasitic effect upon direct contact with parasites. The product is supplied in a 3.8 liter canister.
