Therapeutic indications
DMSO is an aprotic solvent derived from sulfur and used in the veterinary field for the treatment of inflammatory pathologies in animals, especially in horses, affecting the skeletal and muscular system.
Its formula makes it suitable for strengthening other substances with which it is associated, so much so that it can act as a carrier for drugs such as insulin, heparin, phenylbutazone, sulphonamides, if applied dermally.
Dosage and administration
DMSO can be used and dosed differently depending on the target species, most commonly dogs, horses, cattle and sheep.
