Dogs tend to be prone to urinary tract diseases which can also cause the formation of urinary tract stones (including struvite and calcium oxalate stones). Royal Canin Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie is a special dietetic dry food for dogs that tend to be overweight. it is used for the treatment of bladder inflammation and urinary tract stones and helps to dissolve existing struvite stones/crystals. This food is also suitable as a prophylaxis for urinary tract stones and as a treatment for bacterial inflammation of the bladder. Its suitable caloric intake helps to achieve a healthy weight in case of obesity or a tendency to be overweight. By increasing the volume of urine, it counteracts the formation of struvite and calcium oxalate stones. The RSS value is kept low which helps reduce the ions responsible for struvite crystal formation and stones. An increase in urine volume is also promoted.
