Therapeutic Indications
Speed Duo Diro/Leish K is indicated for the rapid and simultaneous qualitative diagnosis of infections caused by Dirofilaria immitis (parasite responsible for cardiopulmonary dirofilariasis) and Leishmania sp. (causative agent of leishmaniasis), two pathologies that represent a significant health risk for dogs, especially in endemic areas or in the presence of environmental conditions favorable to the spread of vector parasites.
Early diagnosis of both diseases is essential to be able to promptly establish an adequate treatment and improve the patient's prognosis. The test is therefore intended for both symptomatic and asymptomatic dogs, allowing monitoring even during treatment or prevention programs.
The simultaneous use of the test for Dirofilariasis and Leishmaniasis allows you to optimize time and resources, helping the veterinarian in clinical management and therapeutic decisions.
Composition
The Speed Duo Diro/Leish K kit includes 20 separate tests, each containing the reagents necessary for the antigenic detection of Dirofilaria immitis and for the detection of antibodies to Leishmania sp. through a double-line immunochromatographic system.
The test components include membranes with specific high affinity antibodies for each antigen and sample, dilution solution, and detection systems based on colored particles that allow easy visual reading of the result.
All materials are individually packaged in sealed bags to ensure optimal conservation and the sterility necessary for correct execution of the test.
Contraindications
There are no known specific contraindications relating to the diagnostic use of the Speed Duo Diro/Leish K test. However, it is important to use the kit exclusively for its diagnostic purpose and to follow the instructions scrupulously to avoid erroneous results.
