Contraindications

Do not use if the tube is damaged, the cap is not intact or there are visible signs of internal/external contamination. 

Use is not recommended where the guidelines expressly require the use of tubes with specific additives. Tubes that are not suited to the analytical protocol can significantly alter the results of the analyses, thus being inappropriate. It is contraindicated for patients with particular problems who require collection systems or volumes different from the specifications described.

Method of administration

The Prov Vacutest Rossa 4 Milliliters is used according to a standardized protocol: after selecting the suitable vein, we proceed with the disinfection of the skin and the introduction of the butterfly or traditional needle connected to the vacuum system. The tip of the needle pierces the red rubber stopper, allowing automatic filling of the test tube due to the internal negative pressure. Once the blood has been collected, the test tube must be delicately inverted several times if required by the analytical protocol, to allow a homogeneous distribution of the contents (even if without additives or gel).

Once collection is completed, the tube must be labeled, stored and transported according to the instructions of the destination laboratory.
