Tri-Tec 14 Chifa 950ML is a spray lotion designed to offer effective and long-lasting protection to horses from the nuisance caused by flies, horseflies, mosquitoes and other harmful insects. Thanks to its advanced formulation, it guarantees up to 14 days of repellent effect, maintaining the animal's well-being outdoors and during daily activities. The 950 ml bottle, equipped with a convenient spray dispenser, facilitates uniform distribution of the product on the coat, covering large surfaces without waste and without stressing the animal during application. The combined action of its components ensures rapid absorption, leaves the fur shiny and non-greasy, and is also suitable for animals with sensitive skin.
As well as actively repelling adult insects, Tri-Tec 14 also works by reducing the likelihood of insect eggs hatching in treated areas, thus helping to control pest growth. The delicate fragrance makes the use of the product more pleasant for both the horse and the person administering the spray, without compromising the animal's natural physical activity or comfort, even during prolonged exposure outdoors or in the stable. Tri-Tec 14 can also be used safely before or after training, because it leaves no sticky residue.
Its effectiveness has been tested on different types of hair, maintaining the protective effect constant even in cases of intense sweating, rain or regular washing. The constant use of the product helps to naturally preserve the animal's tranquility in the presence of annoying insects, improving the quality of the horse's daily management.
Therapeutic Indications
Tri-Tec 14 Chifa 950ML is indicated for use on horses in order to reduce the presence and attack of flying insects such as flies, horseflies, midges and mosquitoes, which can cause discomfort, skin lesions, allergic reactions, infections or promote the spread of pathogens. The product is particularly useful in all those situations where the animal is exposed to a high concentration of insects, such as in paddocks, pastures, riding stables or during summer transport. It is recommended both as a daily preventive measure and in scheduled mode when outings, training, competitions are planned, or during long periods of stay outdoors.
Consistency in application helps maintain a protective barrier, facilitating the healing of any superficial wounds that could become infected in the presence of numerous insects. Regular use of the product is particularly suitable for animals predisposed to allergic reactions to insect bites, thus reducing the need for further pharmacological treatments for the management of skin inflammation.
It can be used on both young and adult horses, respecting the recommended application methods. The repellent effect contributes to the animal's serenity and a better predisposition to work and physical activity, avoiding behavioral stress induced by insect irritation.
Composition
Active ingredients: Tri-Tec 14 Chifa contains a synergistic combination of pyrethrins and permethrin, known for their repellent and insecticidal properties. The formulation also includes piperonyl butoxide, capable of enhancing the action of the active ingredients, prolonging their effectiveness over time. Each component is chosen to guarantee maximum safety for the animal and for the person who applies it.
The presence of emollient oils promotes even distribution on the coat and offers greater shine to the fur, without being greasy or leaving annoying residues on the skin. It also contains a high percentage of purified water as a base vehicle, which allows rapid evaporation and absorbency after nebulization.
Other excipients present in the composition are selected to minimize the risk of irritation. The product does not contain ethyl alcohol or potentially allergenic essences, and is free of artificial colorings or aggressive substances. All ingredients are tested for veterinary use, ensuring compatibility even in horses with sensitive skin.
Contraindications
Do not use Tri-Tec 14 Chifa 950ML in animals with known hypersensitivity to the components of the formulation, in particular to pyrethrins, permethrin or piperonyl butoxide. Avoid application on wounded or irritated skin or in the presence of active dermatitis until the lesion has completely healed. The product is intended exclusively for external use and must not be used on animals other than horses, especially cats or other pets, for which permethrin can be toxic even at low concentrations.
Do not apply to foals under three months of age unless under strict veterinary supervision. In case of adverse reactions such as redness, itching or edema, discontinue treatment immediately and consult a veterinarian. Do not inhale or ingest the product. Avoid contact with the eyes of both the animal and the operator. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
Do not use near food sources, feeders or water containers to avoid accidental contamination.
Safety of the drug for the species
Tri-Tec 14 Chifa 950ML has been specifically designed for use on horses, and, when used as directed, has a high safety profile. The active ingredients have been selected to reduce the risk of toxic accumulation or unwanted effects following repeated applications over time. Clinical tests on the target species have shown good skin tolerability, with no evidence of chronic inflammatory phenomena or systemic reactions.
Permethrin guarantees a broad-spectrum repellent and insecticidal action, but the concentration used is safe for adult and young horses, as long as the recommended application methods are followed. The product goes away from eyes, nostrils and mucous membranes, to avoid temporary local irritation. It does not interfere with the animal's normal daily activity and does not compromise sporting performance, grooming or the general health of the horse even in the long term.
Numerous scientific evidences demonstrate that, if the instructions for use are respected, the probability of unwanted effects is very low. In case of accidental overdose it is advisable to wash the affected area thoroughly with water and monitor the animal for any symptoms.
Precautions
When handling and applying Tri-Tec 14 Chifa 950ML use protective gloves to limit direct contact with the skin, especially in sensitive subjects. Avoid spraying the product against the wind or in closed, poorly ventilated environments. Do not expose the product to heat sources and store it out of the reach of children, in a cool, dry place. Do not reuse the empty container, but dispose of it according to current legislation on special waste.
Do not treat the entire animal in one solution the first time: proceed first on a small area to check that there are no local adverse reactions, especially in animals with a history of skin allergies. In case of accidental contact with eyes, rinse immediately and thoroughly. Wash your hands thoroughly after use. Do not contaminate water and soil with the product or with the empty bottle.
If the horse produces abundant sweat in high heat conditions, it may be necessary to repeat the application more frequently than in normal climatic conditions.
Method of administration
Tri-Tec 14 Chifa 950ML must be applied directly to the horse's coat using the practical spray dispenser. Shake the bottle well before use. Spray evenly from a distance of approximately 20-30 cm, taking care to cover the entire affected area, especially in the areas most exposed to insect attack such as the neck, rump, abdomen and limbs. For the head area, spray the product onto a clean cloth and rub gently, avoiding direct contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Comb or brush the hair after application to facilitate the distribution and absorption of the active ingredients.
In case of first use it is advisable to try the product on a small surface to exclude any hypersensitivity. Repeat the application every 14 days, or more frequently if the horse is subjected to heavy rain, washing or intense sweating. Do not use on damp or wet skin.
Treatment program
The ideal is to apply Tri-Tec 14 Chifa 950ML every 14 days during the season of maximum presence of insects or as needed depending on the specific environmental conditions and the level of infestation. In periods of frequent rain or in situations with intense sweating it is possible to repeat the treatment even every 7-10 days to maintain constant protection. In the case of particularly persistent infestations, combine the treatment with environmental hygiene practices and stable management, for greater overall effectiveness.
The use program can also be modulated based on the specific needs of the individual animal, considering the degree of exposure to insects and the type of activity carried out daily. Prolonged use does not alter the quality of the hair and does not compromise the health of the horse, maintaining a continuous protective barrier over time.
Do not skip treatments in case of competitive or intense activity: the product can also be applied before competitions or training sessions without affecting sports performance.
