Therapeutic indications
Adaptil diffuser contains d.a.p. and prevents and controls stress in puppies and adult dogs, helping them to deal with: challenging situations (fireworks, loud noises, storms, being at home alone, etc.); new situations (adoption of puppies or adult dogs, new home, insertion into a family, holiday home). The combined use of adaptil diffuser and adaptil collar or adaptil spray can help to obtain better results in dogs that show fears in different situations (see table in the package leaflet)
Dosage and administration
To help your dog deal with loud noises (fireworks, thunderstorms, etc.): 2 weeks before the expected date of the event, place adaptil diffuser in the room where the dog spends the most time or where he takes refuge during the noises. The longer your dog is exposed to pheromones, the better prepared he will be to deal with this stressful situation. Adaptil spray can be sprayed on the dog's bed to give additional support during the event. It is advisable to keep your dog indoors during fireworks/storms to make him feel safer and prevent him from running away. If this is not possible, adaptil collar can be used as an alternative. To reduce stress when the dog stays at home alone: place adaptil diffuser in the room where the dog spends the most time. Adaptil spray can be used in combination with a diffuser to obtain better results. To help the dog adapt to new environments (adoption, new home, insertion into the family): at least 24 hours before the puppy/adult dog arrives in the new environment, place adaptil diffuser at floor level in the room where the dog will sleep or spend more time. The diffuser must be active continuously for at least 4 weeks and the refill replaced as required
