Therapeutic indications

Equimucil sachets is a veterinary drug for horses used in the treatment of diseases of the respiratory system of equids in the acute, chronic and exacerbation or exacerbation phases and in particular chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

Dosage and administration

Route of administration: oral. Dosage: 20 mg of n-acetylcysteine ​​per kg of live weight per day, equal to one sachet for every 125 kg of weight, for 3-5 days as initial treatment. 10 mg of n-acetylcysteine per kg of live weight per day, equal to one sachet for every 250 kg of weight, for 7-10 days as a maintenance treatment.

Initial treatment (3-5 days): horse weight (kg): 125; dose: 1 sachet per day horse weight (kg): 250; dose: 2 sachet per day horse weight (kg): 375; dose: 3 sachet per day horse weight (kg): 500; dose: 4 sachets per day.

Maintenance treatment (7-10 days): horse weight (kg): 125; dose: ½ sachet per day horse weight (kg): 250; dose: 1 sachet per day horse weight (kg): 375; dose: 1.5 sachet per day horse weight (kg): 500; dose: 2 sachets per day, mix carefully with the ration.

Contraindications

No notes. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or excipient.
