INDICATION OF THE ACTIVE INGREDIENT(S) AND OTHER INGREDIENTS

Each 0.5 ml pipette contains
Active substances:
Fipronil 50.00 mg
(S) -methoprene 60.00 mg excipients:
Butylated hydroxyanisole (E320) 0.10 mg
Butylated hydroxytoluene (E321) 0.05 mg
Clear greenish-yellow solution.

In cats:

• To be used against flea infestations, alone or in association with ticks and/or chewing lice.
• Elimination of fleas. (Ctenocephalides spp.). The insecticidal efficacy against new infestations with adult fleas persists for 4 weeks. Prevention of flea multiplication by inhibiting the development of eggs (ovicidal activity), larvae and pupae (larvicidal activity) originating from eggs laid by adult fleas for six weeks after application.
• Elimination of ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variaris, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The product has a persistent acaricidal efficacy for up to 2 weeks against ticks (based on experimental data).
• Elimination of lice (Felicola subrostratus).
The product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD), where this has been previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.

In ferrets:

• To be used against infestations of ticks. fleas, alone or in association with ticks.
• Elimination of fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.). The insecticidal efficacy against new infestations with adult fleas persists for 4 weeks. Prevention of the multiplication of fleas by inhibiting the development of eggs (ovicidal activity), larvae and pupae (larvicidal activity) originating from eggs laid by adult fleas.
• Elimination of ticks (Ixodes ricinus). The product has a persistent acaricidal efficacy for 4 weeks against ticks (based on experimental data).

ADVERSE REACTIONS

Cats:

Very rarely, after application, transient skin reactions at the application site (alteration of skin color, local hair loss, itching, redness) and general itching or hair loss have been reported. Excessive salivation, reversible neurological signs (increased sensitivity to stimulation, despondency, other nervous signs) and vomiting were also observed after use.
The frequency of adverse reactions is defined using the following convention:
- very common (more than 1 in 10 animals treated with adverse reactions)
- common (more than 1 but less than 10 animals in 100 animals treated)
- uncommon (more than 1 but less than 10 animals out of 1,000 animals treated)
- rare (more than 1 but less than 10 animals out of 10,000 animals treated)
- very rare (less than 1 animal out of 10,000 animals treated, including isolated reports).
If animals lick themselves, a transient hypersalivation may be observed due mainly to the excipients of the product.
Do not exceed the indicated dosage.

DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE(S) AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

Route of administration and dosage:
Spot-on use.
One 0.5 ml pipette per a cat, corresponding to a minimum recommended dose of 5 mg / kg for fipronil and 6 mg / kg for (S) -methoprene, by topical cutaneous application.
In the absence of studies on the safety of the product, the minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.

One 0.5 ml pipette per ferret corresponding to a dose of 50 mg for fipronil and 60 mg for (S) -methoprene per ferret, by topical application on the skin.
The minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.

Method of administration:

Hold the pipette in a vertical position. Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that the contents remain within the main part of the pipette. Pull the tip back.
