Therapeutic indications
This medicine kills fleas in infested cats and prevents further infestations for a month. It also prevents the multiplication of fleas by inhibiting the appearance of fleas in the cat's environment for 3 months.
The veterinary drug may be used as part of a treatment strategy to control flea allergy dermatitis (FAD), an inflammation of the skin, in cats.
Dosage and administration
Use a spot-on applicator for single-cat administration.
The minimum recommended dose is 42.3 mg dinotefuran/kg body weight and 4.23 mg pyriproxyfen/kg body weight. The treatment dose range is 42.3 to 705 mg dinotefuran/kg body weight and 4.23 to 70.5 mg pyriproxyfen/kg body weight for cats weighing between 0.6 and 10 kg.
Be careful to apply the veterinary medicinal product only to intact (not broken) skin.
Treatment scheme: Following a single application, the veterinary medicinal product will prevent flea infestation for one month and also prevents the multiplication of fleas by inhibiting the appearance of fleas in the cat's environment for 3 months.
The need to re-treat cats likely to be re-infested and the time interval between such treatments should be based on the assessment of the responsible veterinarian.
