Therapeutic indications

Vectra 3D is a veterinary medicine used in dogs for the treatment and prevention of flea and tick infestations and for the repellent activity of sandflies, mosquitoes and flies. The medicine is effective for one month and prevents the opening of flea eggs and the development of the latter for two months.

Contains three active ingredients: dinotefuran, pyriproxyfen and permethrin.

Vectra 3D can be obtained without a medical prescription and is available as a spot-on solution in applicators with five different dosages to be used depending on the dog's weight.

The entire contents of an applicator is applied directly to the dog's skin, after separating the hair, in one or more points of the back, depending on the dog's weight, or along a continuous line along the center of the back from the base of the tail to the shoulder blades.

The treatment can be repeated once a month.

Also applicable to dogs at least 7 weeks old and over 1.5 kg of body weight.

The active ingredients of Vectra 3D act as "ectoparasiticides", i.e. they eliminate parasites that come into contact with the skin or fur of animals, such as fleas, ticks and flying insects.

Fleas: This veterinary medicine acts against fleas in infested animals and prevents further infestations for a period of one month.

This veterinary medicine also prevents the multiplication of fleas for two months after application by inhibiting the opening of eggs and inhibiting the transformation of immature fleas into adult fleas.

The veterinary medicine can be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis (FAD), an inflammation of the skin.

In dogs the signs of FAD show up in the head and face, flea bite dermatitis, also known as FAD or flea allergy dermatitis, occurs when a dog is allergic to proteins found in flea saliva.

The condition may appear serious, especially if the infestation recurs.

Ticks: Eliminates and has a repellent action against ticks. If ticks are present when the veterinary medicinal product is applied, they may not all be killed within the first 48 hours but may die within a week.

Sandflies, mosquitoes and flies: repellent activity (prevents bites) of flying insects such as sandflies, mosquitoes and flies for one month after application.

It also kills mosquitoes and flies for a month after application.

Dosage and administration

The minimum recommended dose is 6.4 mg dinotefuran/kg body weight, 0.6 mg pyriproxyfen/kg body weight, 46.6 mg permethrin/kg body weight, equivalent to 0.12 ml of the veterinary medicinal product per kg body weight.

To apply Vectra 3D The dog must be standing or in a comfortable position. Apply the product directly to the skin following a continuous line from the base of the tail to the middle of your dog's shoulder blades, pressing the applicator until it is empty.
