Therapeutic indications
For the prevention and treatment of flea infestations in cats and for the treatment of flea infestations in rabbits. Fleas are killed within a day of treatment.
One treatment prevents further flea infestation for 3-4 weeks in cats and up to a week in rabbits.
In cats, the product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of flea allergy dermatitis (dap), if this has been previously diagnosed by a veterinary surgeon
Dosage and administration
For topical use, it should not be administered orally. Animals must be weighed accurately before treatment.
Cat/rabbit: < 4kg per piece; product: advantage 40 for small cats and small rabbits; number of pipettes: 1 pipette of 0.4 ml; imidacloprid (mg/kg bw): minimum 10 cat/rabbit: = 4 kg bw;
For external use only. Application to the base of the skull will minimize the possibility of the cat licking the veterinary medicine.
Contraindications
Do not treat unweaned kittens less than 8 weeks of age. Do not use on rabbits less than 10 weeks of age. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or to one of the excipients.
Excipients
Each 0.4 ml pipette contains butylated hydroxytoluene (e321) 0.4 mg and benzyl alcohol 332.8 mg. Each 0.8 ml pipette contains butylated hydroxytoluene (e321) 0.8 mg and benzyl alcohol 665.6 mg.
