Therapeutic indications
Flubenol paste is indicated for the treatment of the following gastrointestinal parasites in dogs and cats: ascarids: toxocara canis, toxocara cati, toxoscaris leonina; whipworms: trichuris vulpis; hookworms: uncinaria stenocephala, anchylostoma caninum, ankylostoma tubaeforme; tapeworms: taenia pisiformis, hydatigera taeniaeformis.
Dosage and administration
11 ml every 2 kg of body weight (22 mg/kg); dogs and cats infested with roundworms and hookworms: 1 ml per 2 kg of body weight. 1 time per day for 2 consecutive days; dogs and cats infested with other species of worms: 1 ml per 2 kg of body weight. 1 time a day for 3 consecutive days. For a 7 kg subject requiring 2 days of treatment, it is necessary to set the ring on 7 kg for the treatment of the first day and on 14 kg for the treatment of the second day. Flubenol Pasta can be administered in the following ways: directly into the animal's mouth; mixed with usual food; for cats it can be applied to a front paw so that it is licked. The 7.5 ml syringe is sufficient for 3 days' treatment of animals weighing 5 kg. Treatment scheme: dogs: puppies: 8 days old, 6 weeks old; young dogs: before vaccination and subsequently every 2-3 months; bitches: during heat, 10 days before and 10 days after giving birth; adult dogs: 3-4 times a year cats: kittens: at 3-6 weeks of age; young cats: before vaccination and thereafter every 2-3 months; adult cats: 3-4 times a year.
Contraindications
Do not use in case of known resistance to the active ingredient. Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or to any of the excipients.
Excipients
Methyl para-hydroxybenzoate (e 218) and propyl para-hydroxybenzoate (e 216).
