What is the Elizabeth collar for dogs?

The Elizabeth collar, or Elizabethan, is a convalescence collar for dogs.

The Elisabetta collar is useful for preventing your dog from scratching, biting or licking areas of his body that are diseased, irritated, subjected to medication or surgery.

In all these cases your dog would tend to lick itself and thus slow down healing of the area affected by trauma or injury. Using the collar facilitates faster healing of these areas, which if not subjected to licking risk infections and slower healing.

The collar is also constructed in such a way as to be as less traumatic as possible: it is produced in resistant, malleable and transparent plastic, so as to allow your dog to have a normal view.

How to apply the Elisabetta collar?

The collar is very easy to insert and adjust. To apply it, follow these instructions:

• remove your dog's collar
• with one hand, hold your dog's body still to prevent him from running away
• apply the collar and adjust it so that it is not too tight
• close the collar using the appropriate closure.
