Feeding Instructions: All puppies should receive their mother's milk for at least 2 days, if possible. Colostrum milk provides extra nutrition and temporary immunity against some diseases. Warm Esbilac ®at room or body temperature. Feed puppies 2 tablespoons (30 ml) per 4 ounces. (115 g) of body weight per day. Divide the daily feeding amount into equal portions for each feeding. Puppies' needs will vary and this amount may need to be increased or decreased, depending on the individual. Small and/or weak puppies should be fed every 3-4 hours. Older and/or older puppies can be fed every 8 hours. Weigh puppies daily to ensure adequate nutrition. Consult your veterinarian for further advice. The PetAg 2 oz. (60 ml) or 4 oz. (120mL) Small Animal Nurser is suitable for feeding most puppies. When puppies are old enough to pet, begin offering Esbilac in a shallow container. During the 6th week, mix Esbilac with Esbilac 2nd Step Puppy Weaning Food to allow the puppy to gradually transition to solid food. Pregnant and nursing females: Feed 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of Esbilac per 5 lbs. (2.2 kg) of body weight per day. Growing puppies (post-weaning), show and/or convalescent dogs: Administer 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of Esbilac per 5 lbs. (2.2 kg) of body weight per day.
Storage: Store unopened can in a cool, dry place. Opened jar, discard if not used within 72 hours. Can be frozen in single-serving containers for up to 6 weeks.
