Therapeutic indications
Complementary feed for horses.
Ascorbate-Master C is the formulation indicated to offer the horse valid support for problems caused by the presence of oxidizing substances. Exposure of the organism to the action of oxidizing substances, both coming from outside and inside the organism, can cause oxidative stress. The use of vitamin C has a natural antioxidant action, important for balancing the damage caused by the excessive production of free radicals at the lung level (Deaton CM et al., Equine Vet J.Suppl. 2002). Vitamin C, in addition to having its own antioxidant function, is able to regenerate or recycle the other components of the antioxidant system, especially vitamin E. The intake of vitamin C in horses is influenced by both the quantity and the form in which it is available. Ascorbate-Master C contains vitamin C in the form of calcium ascorbate.
