Elanco AdTab For Cats from 2 to 8 Kg 3 Tablets 48 Mg is a veterinary medicine for the treatment of flea and tick infestations in cats. With just one tablet, your cat will be protected for an entire month. The tablets are chewable and have a vanilla flavor, making administration easy and pleasant for your pet.

The product provides immediate and persistent action against fleas and ticks, ensuring maximum protection for your cat. It does not require a prescription and can be administered with or without food. The active ingredient is lotilaner, a powerful pesticide.

Therapeutic Indications

Elanco AdTab is indicated for the treatment of flea and tick infestations in cats. The product has an immediate and persistent action, eliminating fleas and ticks within 24 hours of intake and preventing further infestations for a month. The product can be used as part of a treatment strategy to control flea allergy dermatitis (FAD).

Composition

The active ingredient of Elanco AdTab is lotilaner, a powerful pesticide. Each tablet contains 48 mg of lotilaner. Excipients include baking powder (flavor), silicified microcrystalline cellulose, cellulose powder, lactose monohydrate, povidone K30, crospovidone, sodium lauryl sulfate, vanillin (flavor), colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Elanco AdTab must not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to one of the excipients. Furthermore, it should not be given to cats weighing less than 2 kg or more than 8 kg.

Safety of the drug for the species

Elanco AdTab is safe for use in cats. However, as with all medications, it is important to follow your veterinarian's instructions and monitor your pet for any side effects.

Precautions

Elanco AdTab should be administered with caution to cats with a history of allergic reactions. Furthermore, the product should be kept out of the reach of children. Wash your hands after handling the product.

Method of administration

Elanco AdTab is easy to administer. The tablets are chewable and have a vanilla flavour. It is administered orally 1 tablet per month with food or up to 30 minutes after.

Treatment program

For the treatment of flea and tick infestations, administer 1 tablet per month during the periods of greater seasonality for fleas and/or ticks, based on the local epidemiological situation.
