Therapeutic indications
Renate VetPlus is a supplement for cats with kidney problems.
It is particularly effective in subjects suffering from renal failure, providing them with complete support, thanks to the action of phosphorus chelators, cranberry and bioavailable curcumin.
The cat with kidney failure suffers from various symptoms which, if not treated, invalidate its lifestyle and compromise it.
The use of complementary feed is useful for:
- correct kidney function during protein filtration;
- maintenance of normal blood pressure;
- maintenance of phosphate levels and bladder function;
- restoration of appetite and regaining body weight lost due to the disease.
Contains specific ingredients to support renal activity and reduce symptoms:
- Phosphorus binders, i.e. calcium and magnesium carbonate, which bind dietary phosphate in the intestine, forming insoluble compounds which are then excreted undigested. Using a combination of two phosphorus binders allows you to obtain the benefits of both.
- Curcumin, which when conjugated to phospholipids reaches an excellent level of bioavailability, useful for supporting renal function in cats. It works by promoting the filtration of proteins and enhances the activity of antioxidant enzymes, which help neutralize free radicals.
- Cranberry, which together with the proanthocyanidins, prevents bacteria from binding to the epithelial mucosa of the urinary tract and promotes their elimination.
- Pine bark, a mixture of flavonoids, powerful antioxidants, which supports normal endothelial function by increasing renal blood flow and helping to maintain circulatory homeostasis and normal blood pressure levels.
- B group vitamins, which act both to stimulate appetite in cats and to maintain normal serum phosphate levels, as well as to contribute to the maintenance of circulatory homeostasis.
- Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals and supports kidney health.
