INDICATIONS
KARENAL PET powder is a complementary food containing potassium citrate, with a low concentration of phosphorus, and a reduced content of high quality proteins, for dogs and cats with particular nutritional purposes. The supply of potassium citrate promotes a recovery action in cats when there are potassium deficiency situations such as in cases of muscle weakness, weight loss, loss of appetite, stiff gait and dull coat. In dogs, potassium citrate can be useful in cases of diarrhea, prolonged vomiting or as an adjuvant in cases of metabolic acidosis due to chronic renal failure or prolonged exertion (working dogs).
ADVANTAGES
Help to resolve clinical or subclinical alterations due to potassium deficiency, both at the level of the skeletal muscles and at the level of the dog's renal function (polyuria, polydipsia, non-oliguric chronic renal insufficiency).
Help to reduce the state of chronic tubulointerstitial inflammation induced by hypokalemia, preventing the worsening of existing nephropathy.
Help to restore a correct organic level of Potassium in clinical situations such as muscular weakness and loss of appetite, which are known to occur in cases of polyuria or prolonged vomiting or following the administration of diuretic drugs, regardless of the blood concentrations of Potassium itself.
