INFORMATION - Gastritis

Inflammatory process affecting the stomach, very common not only in humans, but also in pets.

Causes

Among the main causes there are certainly a bad or unsuitable diet (based on kitchen waste or low-quality foods), the use of drugs, the ingestion of foreign bodies or irritating substances, viral (e.g. Parvovirus) or bacterial (e.g. Helicobacter pylori) infectious diseases, lifestyle (e.g. forced sedentary lifestyle), stress of various kinds, as well as numerous other pathologies such as renal failure or neoplasms. In cats, gastritis caused by the presence of hairballs in the stomach is no less problematic
frequent, especially during the moulting period.

Symptoms

The main symptom is certainly loss of appetite, often associated with abdominal pain, sialorrhea (excessive salivation) and vomiting, which in turn can cause weight loss and even serious dehydration. Very often animals suffering from gastritis seek grass and also suffer from belching.

HOW TO USE:

It is recommended to administer 3 mL per 10 kg of live weight twice a day with meals, for 7-30 days depending on the problem and/or veterinary indications.
