PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC CATEGORY: Levamisole-based vermifuge
COMPOSITION
Active ingredient: Levamisole 25 mg/ml.
Excipients: Sodium metabisulfite; methyl p-hydroxybenzoate.
INDICATIONS
Single or mixed infestations sustained by adult and larval forms of Ascaridia spp., Capillaria spp., Heterakis spp. and Syngamus trachea.
DOSAGE
5-10 ml per liter of drinking water (equal to approximately 20-25 mg of levamisole/kg live weight), single administration lasting 1 day (12 hours). The measuring syringe in the cap corresponds to 1 ml. It is advisable to repeat the treatment 12 days after the first, in order to target all emerging forms not attacked with the first intervention.
CONTRAINDICATIONS / SIDE EFFECTS
Do not administer the preparation to animals with hepatic insufficiency.

Traveler and pigeons competition.
WARNINGS
Do not use in egg-laying pigeons. It is good practice to avoid direct contact with the product while handling it. Do not inhale, avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of accidental contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Wash your hands after use. People with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or excipient should avoid contact with the veterinary medicinal product
INTERACTIONS
Avoid the simultaneous administration of anthelmintics with nicotinosimilar action (e.g. pyrantel tartrate). Levamisole must not be used together with organophosphorus esters and carbamates.
UNWANTED EFFECTS
Birds suffering from severe infestations with bronchopulmonary nematodes may present wheezing and coughing for several hours, caused by removal of the worms from the lungs.
STORAGE:
Store in a cool, dry place. After opening, use within 3 months. The medicated water must be consumed within 12 hours.
WAITING TIME
Not applicable. The product must not be administered to pigeons intended for human consumption.
