Therapeutic indications
Caged and aviary birds: local treatment of plumage acariasis, of various acariasis of the plumage (caused by down mites, barbules, pollen, etc.), of acariasis caused by the red mite (dermanyssus gallinae, passerinus etc.) and of dermatoses caused by mites such as cnemidocoptes pilae, c. columbae etc. of caged and aviary birds. Pet rabbits: therapy and prophylaxis of parasitic infestations caused by ectoparasites and in the treatment of ear mange, caused by psoroptes cunicili, cheylettiella parasitovorax, sarcoptes scabini, demodex cunicili and flea infestations.
Dosage and administration
Shake the can before use, then spray on the subjects to be treated by a distance of 20 cm, avoiding excessive cooling due to the rapid evaporation of the propellant with consequent risk of respiratory diseases, operating with short sprays (approximately 0.3 g equal to 0.52 ml of product) for each bird (weight 15/20 grams) and 15 ml (3 sprays of 5 seconds) for each rabbit (average weight 1 kg). Avoid spraying the product on the eyes and beaks of birds or on the faces of rabbits. Repeat the treatment after 5 days. In cases of feathering acariosis, it is advisable to burn the fallen feathers. Do not exceed the recommended doses. The 150 ml package of product is intended to treat a maximum number of 5 rabbits or 144 sick birds.
Contraindications
The use of the product is contraindicated in sick or convalescent subjects. Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients. However, the use of the product on sensitive animals (asthmatic, allergic, etc.) is not recommended. Do not use on animals with extensive skin lesions.
Excipients
Butylated hydroxytoluene (bht) 0.010 g, methyl p-hydroxy benzoate 0.0067 g, propyl p-hydroxy benzoate 0.0033 g. Other excipients to taste to g 100.
