It is also indicated for the correction of electrolyte imbalances, in particular to restore sodium, potassium, calcium and chloride in patients with a deficiency of these essential elements.
The solution is also used for the management of acute and chronic hypovolemia, helping to maintain intravenous pressure and cardiovascular stability in critically ill patients or undergoing surgery.
Thanks to the presence of lactate, which is rapidly metabolised to bicarbonate, this solution is effective in correcting metabolic acidosis linked to pathological conditions such as shock, sepsis or severe burns. It can be administered in hospital, outpatient settings or in medical emergency situations, ensuring complete water and metabolic support.
Furthermore, it is suitable for perioperative use to maintain an adequate plasma volume and prevent hydro-electrolyte imbalances during and after surgical interventions.

Contraindications
Galenica Lactated Ringer should not be used in case of known hypersensitivity to one or more components of the solution, including sodium, potassium, calcium or lactate.
