YOUR CAT IS UNIQUE
ACANA is perfect for cats of all sizes. Just like you, your cat is unique and its nutritional needs vary based on the environment, age and activity of the animal. The table below provides a starting point to be adapted to the specific needs of the animal. The recommended frequency is two meals a day, always leaving fresh, clean water available.
Use a standard 250ml/120g measuring cup. Serve dry or slightly moistened. We recommend that you visit your trusted veterinarian regularly. To best maintain the freshness of the product, we recommend carefully closing the bag and storing it in a cool, dry place.
ACANA Pacifica is designed to meet the levels established by the AAFCO nutritional profiles for cat food at every life stage.
CALORIE CONTENT
Unique compared to conventional foods, ACANA provides more calories from proteins and fats than carbohydrates, reducing the risk of obesity and promoting optimal shape for your dog.
Metabolisable Energy 4080 kcal/kg (490 kcal for a 250 ml/120 g cup), which comes 36% from proteins, 22% from fruit and vegetables and 42% from fats.

The African wildcat is the ancestor and closest relative of all domestic cats. Although years and years of breeding have produced "different-looking cats," the internal functions of wild and domestic cats have remained unchanged, so it's no wonder their dietary needs are unchanged.
Our Biologically Appropriate food philosophy is simple: reproduce the quantity, freshness and variety of animal ingredients that cats evolved with, while limiting carbohydrate content and synthetic ingredients that are not part of the cat's natural diet.
RICH IN FISH (75%) AND PROTEIN (37%)
The cat is carnivorous and, from a biological point of view, has evolved by eating a diet rich in fish and meat. With their sharp teeth, single-jointed jaw and short digestive tract, cats are anatomically designed to break down proteins and fats from meat.
For this reason, ACANA Pacifica contains 75% Pacific sardine, plaice, silver hake and redfish, all wild-caught off Vancouver Island and declared fit for human consumption before being included in our foods.
Completely free from potato and pea protein concentrates, ACANA's high protein content comes from animal (non-vegetable) ingredients, which promote lean muscle mass and provide cats with all the nutrients they need.

We use fresh fish in its most nutritious and natural form. For this reason, 1/2 of the fish in ACANA Pacifica is fresh and 1/2 is dehydrated or in the form of oils, to provide a concentrated source of rich fish proteins.

CARBOHYDRATES LIMITED TO (23%)
The cat's nutritional needs do not include carbohydrates and their content in its diet is low or non-existent. It has been established that carbohydrates are one of the main causes of obesity and diabetes – despite this, common cat foods often contain over 50%.
For this reason, ACANA limits the overall carbohydrate content and replaces fast-digesting carbohydrates, such as those from rice, tapioca and potatoes, with low-glycemic index fruits and vegetables such as pumpkin and other vegetables. The latter enter the blood slowly, allowing you to avoid spikes in blood glucose levels and reducing the potential accumulation of fat.
