Essentials Hamster & Gerbil Food – Complete Food for Hamsters and Gerbils
Hamster & Gerbil Food is a food rich in fiber with a good balance of nutrients that help maintain correct nutrition, weight, digestive function and dental health of small active rodents. Hamsters and gerbils love this blend of timothy, oat and barley hay. Contains no seeds, fruit with high sugar content, artificial preservatives and colours.
Hamster & Gerbil Food is not suitable for pregnant or nursing animals. Serve this food with Oxbow hays to encourage foraging and to provide environmental enrichment.
Feeding Instructions
Growth (0-6 months): At will.
Adults (over 6 months): Small hamster varieties – 10g. per day
Varieties of large hamsters and gerbils – 24gr. per day.
Also offer meadow hay or small amounts of alfalfa (alfalfa) hay.
Hamsters are known to hoard and hide their food, especially females or those housed with other hamsters. Be sure to check that they have food supplies and regular daily rations as listed above.
