Therapeutic indications

Food supplement for dogs and cats based on L-CYSTINE, GLUTATHIONE, CHOLINE and MILK THISTLE extract which improves the oxidation state of the body thanks to a detoxifying action of the liver. L-CYSTINE Semi-essential amino acid present in the extracellular space, transported inside the cell, plays an important role in cellular homeostasis and in the production of glutathione. CHOLINE A natural lipotropic substance, fundamental for maintaining hepatic homeostasis and for the mobilization of lipids from storage tissues. GLUTATHIONE The most powerful and important antioxidant produced by the body, deactivator of free radicals. In dogs and cats with liver diseases of different origins, a low concentration of glutathione has been demonstrated through measurement with enzymatic methods. SILIMARINA PHYTOSOME Liposomal complex, extracted from Milk Thistle, which allows greater bioavailability of Silymarin, in order to improve clinical efficacy in liver protection. The Phytosome delivery system has also been applied to Silymarin with promising preclinical results consistent with the oral bioavailability of the majority of flavanolignans present in the extract. These data optimize the dose for effectiveness in protecting the liver and pave the way for the use of Silymarin in new therapeutic areas where recent discoveries indicate an important role for the entire phytocomplex.
