ITIOXIDE is a veterinary device which, thanks to its particular structure, promotes the formation of a protective film on the animal's skin. Based on Ichthyol and micronized Zinc Oxide, it exerts astringent, soothing and antiseptic properties. Thanks to its barrier foam property, it protects the animal's skin from bacterial and fungal contamination. Non-toxic foam, easy to apply, which does not create any discomfort for the animal. Useful in the treatment of dermatitis complicated by bacteria such as furunculosis, folliculitis, abscesses and superficial ulcers. It works by facilitating the maturation of suppurative skin lesions, re-establishing normal skin conditions. 

Information: Ichthyol, thanks to the activity of sulphur, has keratoplastic, antiseptic, antiseborrheic, anti-inflammatory and decongestant properties. Zinc Oxide has a soothing, healing and anti-inflammatory action, capable of recalling and activating cellular elements responsible for the healing and healing of wounds.

Composition (2 ml of foam contains)

Active ingredients: Ammonium Sulfoichthyolate (20 mg), Zinc Oxide (20 mg), Mallow Extract, Salicylic Acid, Oils Eucalyptus and Lemon Essentials (each), Chlorhexidine, Rice Starch.

Warnings and storage

Warnings: Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the components. Use, especially if prolonged, can cause sensitization phenomena, in which case the treatment should be discontinued. Consult your veterinary surgeon in case of simultaneous use with other products. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Danger: highly flammable aerosol. Pressurized container: may explode if heated. Keep away from heat sources/sparks/open flames/heated surfaces. Don't smoke. Do not spray on an open flame or other ignition source. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Protect from sunlight. Do not expose to temperatures above 50°C/122°F.

How to use ITIOXIDE:

Distribute the foam over the entire body of the animal, in the ears or only on the parts to be treated evenly, favoring its penetration. If the animal is not shaved, rub a suitable amount of product against the grain, so that the skin and fur are moist. Do not rinse and do not dry with cloths or absorbent paper. Repeat the application initially twice a day and subsequently once a day or at longer intervals as judged by the Veterinary Surgeon until complete remission. Brush before each application. The foam can be used for prophylactic purposes after each wash of the animal, in this case apply to damp fur before drying.
