Leukoplast Acetate plasters 5x5 cm, protect and promote the healing of wounds and cuts, they are soft, breathable and easy to remove without pain. Ideal for every daily need.

Description

Leukoplast Acetate 5x5 cm plasters are medical devices designed to offer a safe, effective and comfortable dressing for injuries, small cuts, abrasions and superficial skin wounds. Designed to ensure reliable adhesion without being traumatic upon removal, these plasters are made of cellulose acetate and have a soft and breathable surface that promotes the natural healing process of the skin. Thanks to their large format of 5x5 cm, they are particularly suitable for covering medium-sized areas, protecting the wound from external agents such as dust, water and bacteria, while allowing correct skin transpiration. The 5-piece packaging offers the possibility of keeping the product always available for every need, both at home and during travel or sporting activities. The use of Leukoplast plasters allows you to manage the dressing of cuts and wounds in a practical and hygienic way, keeping the skin clean and protected and helping to reduce the risk of infections.

The Leukoplast Acetate plaster is recognized for its high adhesive capacity, which ensures that the dressing remains well fixed even in the presence of movement or sweating, therefore offering stability during all daily activities. The acetate with which the fabric is made guarantees good elasticity and the ability to adapt to the shape of the part of the body where it is applied, naturally following movements without creating discomfort or hindering mobility. The surface in contact with the wound is designed not to adhere directly to the lesion, favoring painless removal and preserving the healing tissues. The patches are easy to cut and shape, if necessary, to better fit different anatomical areas, such as elbows, knees, hands and feet. They are also characterized by good resistance to humidity and can also be worn during the shower while maintaining their protective functionality.

Therapeutic Indications

Leukoplast Acetate plasters are indicated for the protection and coverage of superficial wounds, abrasions, cuts, abrasions and stitches after minimally invasive operations. They are particularly recommended in cases where it is necessary to keep the skin protected from possible external contamination and mechanical friction that could compromise healing. These patches are also useful in daily first aid situations, both at home and at work, as well as for use on children and adults thanks to the hypoallergenic materials that minimize the risk of skin reactions. They can be used in the treatment of small wounds caused by sudden falls, sports or recreational activities and are advantageous for the post-operative management of small incisions or sutures, as they offer a protective moist environment that reduces the risk of infection and accelerates healing.

The breathable structure prevents the formation of skin maceration around the injured area, helping to keep the skin dry and healthy. Thanks to the high adhesive capacity and water resistance, the patch can be left applied for several days, if necessary, without losing its protective efficacy. In case of sensation of discomfort, itching or redness, we recommend immediate removal of the patch and consultation of a healthcare professional.

Use Leukoplast Acetate whenever you feel the need for reliable protection on an open or sutured skin lesion, to protect the health of the skin and avoid infectious complications. The size of 5x5 cm allows for wide coverage, also ideal for larger skin areas or for application on areas with greater movement.

Composition

Main material: cellulose acetate, which guarantees good mechanical resistance while maintaining flexibility and breathability. The acetate allows the patch to adapt perfectly to the skin surface, following the curves of the body without creating creases or points of irritation.

Hypoallergenic adhesive: the adhesive layer is designed to be delicate on the skin, minimizing the possibility of allergies or irritation, even in sensitive subjects. This aspect is fundamental for those who have to use the product daily or for prolonged periods.

The sterile and microporous surface in contact with the wound is able to absorb any exudates, helping to dry and keep the injured area clean, without adhering directly to the lesion. The composition of the Leukoplast plaster ensures that it is resistant to external physical agents, such as humidity and dust, preserving the integrity of the dressing until removal.

The patch does not contain medicinal substances or pharmacological active ingredients, thus reducing the possibility of interactions or contraindications with other local medications or skin therapies. The materials selected for the production of the device meet high safety standards, ensuring quality, reliability and comfort in daily use.

Contraindications

The use of Leukoplast Acetate plasters is contraindicated in subjects with known hypersensitivity to cellulose acetate, the adhesive or any of the components of the dressing. Do not apply to deep wounds, severe burns or lesions showing signs of widespread infection (extensive redness, abundant secretion, obvious swelling, heat). In case of severely compromised skin, allergic dermatitis or skin pathologies involving the underlying tissues, it is advisable to avoid using the patch or consult a healthcare professional first.

Do not use on mucous membranes or near the eyes. The patch is not designed to replace sutures, surgical closures, or other advanced dressings intended for large surgical wounds. Prolonged application without checking the state of the skin can generate redness or irritation: it is therefore recommended to regularly check the covered area and replace the patch as needed or on medical advice.

Do not reuse patches that have already been applied or have come into contact with non-sterile surfaces. In the event of a severe skin reaction or worsening of the wound condition, discontinue use immediately and contact qualified healthcare personnel.

Product safety

The Leukoplast Acetate patch is made according to rigorous safety criteria which make it suitable even for the most sensitive skin, minimizing the risks of irritation, allergic reactions and skin trauma. The product has been dermatologically tested and designed to minimize the possibility of intolerances thanks to the quality of the materials used and the adoption of an adhesive free of highly allergenic components. The sterile packaging ensures that the surface in direct contact with the wound is free of contaminants, reducing the risk of infection during use.

The strong adhesive capacity has been balanced by features that allow for easy and painless removal, ensuring that even the most delicate skin (for example children or the elderly) is protected without suffering damage during detachment. To reduce any risk of cross infection, each patch is individually packaged. The breathability of the material prevents accumulations of sweat and the consequent maceration of the skin adjacent to the lesion. The absence of medicinal ingredients or additional perfumed additives makes the device even safer for continuous use and on all categories of users.

Precautions

It is recommended to apply the Leukoplast Acetate patch only on clean, dry skin without residues of creams or ointments to ensure maximum adhesion and safety. Before application, cleanse the wound with saline solution or suitable detergent and carefully dry the surrounding skin. Pay attention not to pull the patch excessively while applying it, to avoid the formation of creases or tension which could cause irritation or compromise protection.

Do not prolong the use of the same patch beyond necessary; replace the dressing at least once a day or more frequently in the presence of abundant exudate or if the patch partially comes off. After use, throw away the patch according to the disposal methods for non-hazardous medical materials. Keep out of the reach of children and do not use the product if the packaging is damaged or after the expiry date shown on the packaging.

If signs of infection appear (persistent redness, pain, heat, smelly discharge), stop using the patch and contact a doctor promptly.

Method of administration

Given the 5x5 cm format, the patch can be used whole or shaped to adapt to the specific needs of the lesion to be treated. After cleansing the wound and drying the surrounding skin, remove the protection from the adhesive of the plaster and apply the adhesive side directly to the skin, taking care that the central (non-adhesive) part of the plaster is positioned over the wound to prevent it from coming into direct contact with the glue.

Press the edges lightly to ensure optimal adhesion, avoiding the formation of air bubbles. For a dressing of difficult areas (such as joints or fingers), if necessary, cut the plaster into the desired shape using clean, sterile scissors. At the end of the protection or if the patch loses adhesion, remove it slowly by holding it from one corner, lifting gently to minimize any discomfort.

Treatment program

The frequency of changing the Leukoplast Acetate patch depends on the nature and extent of the lesion. Generally speaking, on small dry wounds it may be sufficient to replace the plaster every 24 hours, while on wounds that produce abundant exudate it may be necessary to change it more often to avoid accumulation of liquids and risk of skin maceration. For small surgical wounds or sutures, keep the dressing until completely healed or as medically indicated. In case of intense physical activity, abundant hydration or sweating, periodically check the stability of the dressing and replace it if necessary.

Use the patches in combination with other protective devices or wound care products only if compatible and/or in the absence of specific contraindications reported by the doctor.
